Saturday, April 2009, St. Paul, MN

Minnesotans from all around congregated at the grounds of the State Capitol in St. Paul, MN on Saturday afternoon with notable key figures of the GOP representatives in Governor Tim Pawlenty and U.S. House of Representative to MN 6^th District Michelle Bachman. Minnesotans were there to share their frustrations and support for the stoppage of any future legislations enacting to mandate changes in the already burdened taxations that’s already enforced.

I asked a man, who wanted to stay anonymous, about his thoughts of what’s going on, he states, “I just lost my job about 3 months ago with my wife as the sole income holder in the household. Sometimes it is what it is and there isn’t much you can do as one person, but if you unite and come together as we are here today, your presence as a group would be heard. I was told at a younger year of my life that if you didn’t like what someone did, let ‘em know by speaking outright because if you kept quiet and to yourself, there wouldn’t ever be any changes in the world. People who stood up together, opinionated their perspective would always make a difference.”

Banners and signs were amassed along with the crowd in front of the State Capitol protesting about the newest agenda in the DFL Party’s involvement in trying to raise taxes for all Minnesotans again, as a way to lessen the state’s deficit.

Hundreds were chanting in unison to a specific idealistic outcry for help in these economic hardships as business are dwindling down resulting in downsizing in an inequitable job market you see today. As the unemployment rate rises to the highest in a recession period almost as formidable as the Great Depression era of the 1930’s and 1940’s.

As representatives to our people of Minnesota, are you listening? My question is: Aren’t the representatives of all parties standing together hand in hand, whether conservative or liberal, working as partners in a bipartisanship manner to establish what is best in such a washed economy?

If not, why aren’t they doing it? Are these parties so bigoted in their thoughts that they would have to lean to their party’s viewpoint and not align themselves together to share what is best in all as their agenda?

We need help! Give us a break! Not, break us by giving us more taxes.
